MnCatGuy
Wondering if anyone has built a floor in the sled of their Clam before and if it worked well for them? I have an older Nanook and took the seats out because I didnt like them. I use the smaller fold over clam chairs instead. The problem is with those chairs either the front 2 legs or back 2 legs sit in the groove of the sled causing you to sit at a slight angle. I still have to do measurements, but my plan is to run 2 boards, 1 in each groove, the length of the sled. I plan on topping that with thin plywood screwed into each board. I'll either put down boat carpet or vinyl over the plywood. It'll be nice to sit on a flat surface and I dont think this will add much weight. I'd love to hear from anyone with thoughts/ideas or anyone who has done anything similar. Sorry for any grammar screw ups, posting from my phone. Thanks!
