The History Channel show Swamp People shows hunters who have a passion for doing hand-to-hand combat with alligators the size of small boats. As they sneak their way through the swamps of Louisiana, the best hunters put together a precise plan and are able to adapt to different conditions.

We do not worry about alligators in ice fishing country, but we do hand-to-hand combat with another ferocious predator called the northern pike. As many anglers throw tip-ups into freshly drilled holes each winter in attempt to lure in pike, there are two anglers who have distinguished themselves among pike anglers.
