This year, a lot of focus has been on walleye gear: not only what types of lures to use, but how to organize them. My first thought is to say, “Do not get locked into one particular storage system.” I say that after looking back at my own experience, and how the lure arsenal has grown over the years based upon trials and experience. Starting with a small gear bag that held a few small boxes, to another bag that held four, 3500-sized trays and getting to the point where I tried to carry all my gear out onto the ice for each trip in 3700 trays.
