Need Advice......Non Fishing.......Long

First off if this needs to be moved or deleted I will understand. I am just looking for advice from someone out in the fishing world that may have first hand experience with this because I don't, and I am not really sure where to turn. I spend my Internet time on the fishing forums, that is about the only thing I know how to find! I would also like to make it clear that this is not a solicitation.

I was wondering if there are any organizations out there that will help,or give any type of grants for children with dis abilities? I have a 17 year old daughter that has Cerebral Palsey and after spending the last 14 years with her Mother in Florida she wants to move back to South Dakota with us and go to College. We live in a multi level house so the problems are the stairs and the shower. I would like to install a stair lift and remodel the bathroom and install a walk in shower, but self funding this project right now is a bit of a challenge. I sent a email to the United Cerebral Palsey Association, but no response.

I hope no one takes offense to this because that is not my intention. She really wants to come live with us and it really gives me a pit in my stomach not knowing how to make it happen and I do not want to have to tell her no she can't, she has had to overcome many obstacles in her life and I don't want some stairs and a shower to be another one.

I am usually a pretty good problem solver, but this time I am at a loss and asking like this is not my proudest moment, but I am willing to swallow some pride for her.

Thank you

Sorry I can't be of more help here is what I found after a little research:

The Entire Life Foundation: - they have a listing by state for resources SD listed below.

Administration on Developmental Disabilities -Advocacy

www.acf.hhs.gov

South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities

dhs.sd.gov/dds

Grants: http://www.enterlinefoundation.org/2012_grant_recipients

At a more National level the list below is a resource guide for disabled people to get Grants for College:
