Jim Lilienthal at Twin Cities Muskies Inc March 10

Recommended Posts

Avid multi-species angler Jim Lilienthal worked for DNR Fisheries for more than 38 years, most as Area Fisheries Supervisor at Little Falls. Jim developed the largest "natural pond" muskie rearing operation in MN, did a lot of work (and some fishing!) on the Mississippi River, and was the first DNR liaison with the Minnesota Muskie Alliance. Jim lives on Lake Alexander, has volunteered on muskie ice-out nettings on both Alexander and Shamineau since retirement, and handled a 53 incher on the 2014 ice-out netting on Lake Alexander. Jim is expert on the benefits to muskie, walleye, and yellow perch populations that the new pike regulation changes can have, and is a presenter at the Legislative Environmental Committee.
