how would you rate an Eskimo ice auger?

I ran across a deal on a 2001 Eskimo 8" but I've never owned one nor do i know much about them. Kinda curious as to how you guys would rate them as compared to like a Jiffy

My honest two cents - after never having owned one, but have owned SM and Jiffy - is that Eskimo are a lot like a Mossberg 500. Completely dependable and good quality, but many people just "think" a bit less about them. Personally I would get one if you got a deal on one, just like a SM or Jiffy. With that said I would still take an 870 over a 500.... but it comes down to the deal.

I just used a new Eskimo propane last weekend, and it sure cut nice. Was heavy but cut nice.
