Marcum VS485C Questions

uninc4709

Question

Hello All,

I am looking into new cameras as my Aqua View is on the fritz. My buddy has told me that his brother is able to see at night using Marcums new cameras with the DarkWater Technology. I am just looking for clarification on that subject.

Any other reviews/opinions will be considered.

thanks.

I just got my 485c and only had it out once in stained water. It worked as expected during the day and once it was dusk with the light on it was ok, once completely dark it was a lot harder. Still the best camera optics I have used. My old camera wouldn't do anything at night. My new 485c is much better than the cameras of old. Still I don't think there is a camera out there that shows good at night in truly stained waters. The color kill feature is sure a improvement. The black n white works better at night than color around my neck of the woods.

Well I just one fantasy football so I am going to be purchasing a marcum soon. as far as optics and usability is there a difference between the 485 and the 625 or 825 other than on screen direction and temp? already have a panner from my old camera so I do not need another one. I dont really care about the direction of the camera or water temp to be honest.

I miss that option and will not own another without it.

I guess I never had any wish to have it on my aqua vu. I know where my jigs are at and its pretty easy to determine where the cameras facing with the tripod. To my main question, are those the only differences is those few bells and whistles? or is there a difference in the cameras and camera sensors such as color and black and white?
