Ford 8N

For those of you that have one, how do you like it?

What 3-point attachments do you use on it?

What size are the attachments?

I'm looking at possibly getting an 8N, and would like to use a mower, tiller, and snowblower with it. I do realize the PTO on the tractor isn't live and that may affect using some attachments with it.

My father has a 9N, which is the first in the series. Mowers work well but be sure you have an override clutch on your pto shaft or you will run into trouble trying to stop. Can't see a tiller or snowblower working very well because you can't really control ground speed and pto speed independently. We use his as a small loader tractor. Front mounted hydraulic pump. With a hydraulic loader it is very handy.

Thanks for the reply. That's a good idea about the override clutch-- how easy or difficult is that to put on? Rather time consuming?

The one I've been looking at may or may not have it already, but the guy did use the tractor mainly for mowing so there's hope.
