decoy
Last night I touched up flambeau honker cheeks with white oil based primer...... Was this a good idea? I'm hoping I did a good thing. I figured the oil base would stick to plastic better????Any body have any info regarding this?
set the drag
wad a quinke dink, I did that lastnight also. I repaint decoys all the time just don't get into the gloss colors and you'll be ok
icehousebob
I've done that for years, even on new decoys. When you look at a bunch of geese feeding, the first thing you usually notice is the white cheek patches. New decoys often have one thin coat of raggedly sprayed paint. I cover it thick and make definite edge lines. You can do it while watching TV and it makes you look busy so you don't get sent out to clean the garage.
