I bought a 1950s era 17 foot grumman canoe last summer and didn't realize it has a mid rib that is cracked right in the center as it passes over the keel on the inside. Does anybody have a decent fix for this rib? Seems like aluminum welding would work but I am not so sure it would hold over time.
