1994 30hp mercury chock issues

ARROW 1

Recommended Posts

After I get the motor started and its ready to kill because its not warmed up I push the key in to chock it the starter engages. This happens every time I push the the key. Has anyone else had this happen before? I searched the internet with no luck.

Thanks for any info.... smile

I have had the boat/motor for 12 years. It started last year when my oil float acted up and was sounding a alarm for low oil. I cut the wire going to the alarm until I could get the float fixed. The cost for the float was crazy so I the dealer disconnected another wire to disable the low oil alarm. I just have to make sure I watch the sight window for low oil.I fixed the wire I cut after it returned from the shop. Not sure if it was something the dealer did or me. I only had to cut one wire so it was easy to fix.

Hope this past history helps
