FisH_SLaYer24
I currently have the Tri-beam transducer and I am running that on my Vexilar FL-20. However, I have been seeing the huge surge and reviews about all the people that have 'fallen' for the ProView. What depth of water does the ProView excel in? I fish all depths of the water column in search of panfish (5-40 FOW). How well does the ProView work in water less than 15 ft?
ihc1
I'm not sure how it works with a fl-20 but I have a first year fl-22 that had the tri beam and until I "fell" for the proview it was the worst flashed I have ever used. I realize I have one of the early ones that had tri beam issues but seriously from day one you had to constantly play with the gain to see anything. This year I picked up one of the proviews and now it is my favorite flasher. All I fish are panfish in less than 30' and I can pick up my jig with out constantly without playing with the gain. Yesterday I was fishing a shallow lake in 6' and it worked perfect. One thing I will add though is in shallow water I find it necessary to use low power or it picks up to much clutter and you can't see anything on the screen but red blobs. Werewolf
Second that on The Tribeam , I had 3 of them on My FL22 , I switched to the 12 degree and it works great , turn it on , set the gain up a little and you're good all day , never loose sight of the jig and I fish two holes and I can watch them both...
