Any furnace (HVAC) guys out there?

I am in the process of doing a bunch of updates to our home and a new furnace is in the plans. I have LP forced air unit right now that is extremely old. I want to replace it with a new efficient one that vents out the wall. I plan on just use the duct work now in place, or do some minor changes like put in returns that were never done properly. I am looking for advice and maybe someone to help me in exchange for a nice shotgun that I don't use much. I am planning to do this project in a little over a month. I am open to a bunch of suggestions.

Unless your old furnace is no longer usable, I would keep your old furnace!!! jps
