Question

After hearing a "nagging" sound coming from the furnace, I decided to investigate. Upon start up when the unit is "calling for Heat" it operates normally, when it's ready to start running it will run for about 1 minute then it starts to blink 3 times (A) Venting Problem (B) Pressure switch problem © Inducer Problem.

When it starts making this is also when the power vent kicks on, when that happens it sounds like the vent is trying to push water/debris. Sounds almost like a waterfall sound. With this in mind, I went outside to the vent and noticed the pipe is vertical with the top open. Is it possible that water and debris have worked down the vent tube and is causing a "issue"? And if so, is this something I can just take the PVC tubing off and clean it? I do have 88 degree air coming out of the vents so I think it's heating fine just not very effiecently.

It's a 10 year old TRANE XR90.

Thanks so much!!!

Check the condensation drip tube that runs to the floor drain. Mine had similar issues and that tube was plugged, the condensation backed up into the motor and made some strange sounds, the fan motor was literally pushing/splashing water. Cleared the hose and all was good.
