wiggledastick
Someone stole my CDI unit off my 2002 Yamaha Kodiak 400. I am trying to figure out who did it and I was just wanted to know if the are interchangeable between different models.
finnedfakes
Possible Yamaha used that same Cdi on multiple years of same atv but likely not other models. Most OEM parts sites have an online OEM part diagram, with part numbers. Look your model up to find the part number for you CDI and then compare it to others. Some of these sites are nice enough to allow you to click on the part you need so you can see what other models the part will fit. Yamaha will sometimes change the wire harness to a different type making parts swapping difficult between different years of the same model. Whoaru99
Yup.I took a quick look at parts catalog on the Ron Ayers site. That seemed show that specific part number on only the 400 model, and only for one or two years of it.Is that gospel? Dunno...didn't research it beyond that quick look.
