GPS Location on Polaris Ranger

I am looking for a spot to accomidate a RAM mount for my Lowrance Endura Sierra or HDS 5 in my MY12 Polaris Ranger. I need some ideas on where to mount the base, preferably without having to drill any holes.

I've got a glass windshield coming this week and have looked hard at the twist lock suction base. Also have thought about trying the adhesive base somewhere on the dash. My biggest concern is the weight of the HDS 5 when traveling down the trail or on the ice.

Does anyone have any suggestions or first hand experience mounting these units in the 2012 Ranger?

I have a glass windsheild and the twist-lock suction cup RAM base. I have a Lowrance H2O and it has never moved. I use it year round adn still no problems. If you wet the suction cup (lick it works), they have a very good bond.

What do you think about using the suction cup for a HDS5? Weight of the unit is 3 lbs. Might be much for a suction cup?
