musky lakes

I am planning my first trip to Mn and will be staying in the Brainerd area. Only have a small boat but would like to fish muskys. Is there any good small lakes in the area?

Alexander, and shaminau (Sp?) are good muskie lakes, clear water, south of brainard, have a buddy that does decent there, I have had some follows of nice fish there. Also the mississipi holds some nice muskies, Good luck AJ

I believe there is a small lake south of Shaminea, called Round Lake that is stocked with muskies and has a fishable population.

It is a small round lake, not much structure, just fish the weedline and you should have some luck.

If it is windy, Sham and Alex can get pretty rough, but you can always find a place to fish out there....
