How do you set pigeons in a field for a flushing dog?

I have gone to game farms and set out pheasants in a field to train flushing dogs. I have rocked them back and forth and they seem to stay put for the most part. Is it possible to do the same thing with homing pigeons? If so whats the method?

The same method you use for pheasant should work just fine. If you google your question you will get a couple other methods but basically most are pretty similar.

I've planted tons of birds in my life..it all comes down to the strength of the birds, pigeons, chukars, ginnes, and pheasants. Mostly for pigeons hold their body, spin their heads..and then bowl them into the grass, or tuck their heads and bowl them...using these methods with help with less traps. If you tuck heads and place down on their bellies, lots of traps, sometimes i have even set them up side down while tucking the heads. they relize they are upside down and will right themselves and wake up...but again its all the strength of your birds...pm if you have any questions and i can give you a call.
