Cleaning out flower beds

Whats the best way to clean out a flower bed that is filled with larger wood chips for bedding. I try to use my leaf blower to clean but even at a low setting i am blowing out the wood chips. Just wondering...

I cleaned mine out last week. I went through with the pruners and chopped back any perennials that I missed last fall then pulled out any larger stuff with a rake. You might just have to hand pull a lot of the stuff out of there. I usually just use the blower. What kind of mulch do you have?

I am cleaning my flower bed with a rake which works pretty good. I am planning to plant some new flowers in my flower bed. I want many different colors but I am not sure which flowers fit together so I will contact a flower shop in my city. Hopefully they can help me so that I can order the right flowers for my bed. In summer I will hopefully have a lot of new and colorful flowers in my bed.
