Ice Fishing During Storms/Blizzard

I would say fishing during the blizzard was pretty good on Saturday.

Nice catch!!! I've caught a lot of panfish this year so far but hardly zero with any size. I'm waiting on that!

made it out in the blizzard and I had a decent day considering we drilled 4 holes and called it good.......it sure was nice to have a snowmobile to get to the fishing hole though!! I have tried the hand pulling during and right after a snowstorm...won't be doing it any time soon if ever again!!

We looked out the window of the perm during the heart of the storm and saw this guy. He's either very brave or he wanted to get away from the family for the day and nothing was going to stop him! We were 3/4 mile from shore w/ lots of slush in between. We whistled him over and told him where to setup and he had his limit in an hour. He let us borrow his auger so I gave him a ride back to shore on the sled.

That is a nice mess of fish Joneshat. The only two I caught my buddies dog ate the heads off of. The jokes on him though, I just found out today that the dog threw them up in his house the next day. Revenge is sometimes sweet. Thanks and no thanks Gus (the dog).

I would agree..... I have had some of my best days of fishing (open and ice) prior to significant weather changes..... storms, fronts, high winds, etc.!
