eyes
I have taken care of all the esentials; new gas, oil, spark plug, air filter. Now the darn thing won't stay running. It will run for a couple minutes and then want to get chocked to stay running. Once it dies, if I walk away for a few minutes it will repeat... run okay for a minute but wants to get choked. Any advise? Is the carb drawing in too much air... from a possible gasket leak? Sears cannot get here for another 9 days and I'm out of patience. Thanks. spearchucker
Probably a dirty carb. Take off the bowl and clean it and all the jets out.
eyes
I took the carb off last night. Checked the rubber gaskets and blew it out with a can of air. Put it back together and have the same condition... maybe a little better but still will not stay running for longer than about one minute! eyes
I think I got the issue resolved. I believe the gas tank cover was not venting causing the engine to starve of fuel after running a couple minutes. Got the carb set up and ready to mow tomorrow night!
