DuckDog
I would like to plant some of those spiral (3 ft) pine trees along my garage - also would be next to a cement walk way. It gets about 8-10 hours of sun in this location and currently has mulch over the top of the soil. I used to plant flowers every year at this location, but think this would be easier and better looking in the long run.I think everyone knows what I mean by the spiral pine decorative trees - can I plant them now? Or should I wait?
klecker
Go ahead and plant now. It will not hurt them ,once they fully wake up from the winter rest they will start shooting roots. You will have a plant that will be able to put on a full year of root growth. Plus planting now you will not have to worry about transplant shock this time of the yea, with the cooler temps. One thing to remember with the ornamental evergreens is you will have to keep up on the prunning or they will turn back into a Upright evergreen again.
