jwmiller33
the past 2 weeks i have had a MAJOR open water itch, and i cant stop thinking about the ice melting and getting back out in the boat.i went to the big C store and got some random odds and ends, stuff that broke in the boat last year, new extended tiller handle for the minn kota, new rod holder for the one i broke off coming into the dock at the landing, 1000 yard spool of line, etc. i also took all the old line off my reels, and i would re spool them now but i think its still a little early to put it on. i also organized my tacklebox and i need to pick up a hook sharpener and sharpen all of my hooks.i also have put my 2 deep cycles on the trickle charger and made sure they are ready to gocan any of you guys shed some light on things you do in preparation for the open water season? what do you do to your boat?anybody have any cool off season modification projects in line for their boat? please share... i'd love to see! coombia21
if you have a fiberglass boat you could throw a coat of wax on your boat

delmuts
When i bring mine home this spring it will get a wax job. I know that for the older glass boats such as my 1990 ranger, a car wax with carnuba is good for them.( info is from a buddy that builds glass boats) Mine looks awesome afterwards! Most everything else was done last fall before i put it away. I just hope i have garage space when i want to bring it home!( much of the space is taken up by my daughters' stuff when we moved her out of college last dec. )
