Protection plans on New photo equipment

Recommended Posts

The way I look at it is, if the electronic equipment will fail, then, most of the time, it'll be in the first 30 days of the purchase; therefore, I don't waste my money on protection plans. Most stores will let you return any merchandise within 30 days of the purchase, and if they don't go somewhere else. Many salesman receive more commission when they sell a protection plan. I would'nt waste your money.

Never have bought extended protection plans for anything I own. Steve is dead on correct about the insurance. I carry a separate commercial policy, I don't want any issues on my homeowners and I need liability insurance. I would guess insurance issues are the single most neglected item for those selling their work.
