Where the ducks are..

Opted not to go out this morning due to the forecasted winds. Winds ended to be half of what they said. Went down to check the hunting spots to see how trucks where in the lots. Six in one lot five in the other, busy out there. On my drive back home, saw seven woodies in a small creek, and mallards sitting in every puddle, ditch, or run off pond. Everywhere were there was water where hunting isn't permitted. They're not dumb

This morning it sure sounded like it was duck opener while i was in my deer stand. might have to give it a shot tmrw.

Went out to a local lake and shot 4 Green heads and 2 Ring bills. There were ducks everywhere. I limited out in 20 minutes. I think this wind/coldfront pushed them down because last weekend I only saw 12 ducks all weekend and today I saw a couple hundred.

As always I opted out this morning for my honey do list and as alway the hunting is at its best for the week was out three times last week and only one day was successfull. Friday was the worst of all company was good but hunting wasnt didnt see any ducks but heard a hen mallard then packed up and headed home got the boat on the trailer and then saw a flock of divers fly right over the spot we were hunting. I will be out in the morning
