Hard Sided / Portable Deer Blind

I am looking at bulding a Hard Sided Portable Deer Blind. My grandpa is getting up in age and has a hard time staying warm while in the field. We have tried protable soft sided blinds but the wind cuts threw them. We hunt on public land so I need to be able to get it in the field by hand and in the truck. I am thinking about making something that folds up but would like to know if anyone has ever seen or built anything like this. Thanks

why not go with a protrable suitcase fish house and cut the windows out?
Then you have to sew them back in for ice fishing grin

Just kidding that's a great idea I know the North Lander from Canvas Craft with the Nordic pack R2 insulation would be perfect. Though it is rather heavy to cart through the woods. I am sure Canvas craft could custom make a blind with velcro windows going off the Northlander design.

The tent part is extremely light its the base that is heavy maybe one can for go the base.

Look on the C-list for a portable canvas house. You can usually find a 4'x6' for cheap. That is what we do. Just put a couple of wheels on one end to get it out in the woods. I built the wheels to fit the house when it is folded up, not pulling it flat, but on the side. This way you can make those tricky maneuvers through the trees.
