Humminbird Matrix 87c

I've got a matrix 87c with GPS on a used boat I purchased. Everything works great on it so far, but he didn't have a Map Chip in it. I picked up a 2007 Navionics map I found oin Clearance and put it in, but tha map data doesn't show up on the maps. It still shows only the data that came with the unit. He doesn't have a manual with it, so I'm hoping someone on here may have had a similar problem and fixed it.

im not as familar with hummingbird as lowrance but should be the same basic principles.. you will need to go into menu and try to find somewhere that it says mapping data and highlight it and choose what part of the navionics chip u want to view..it doesnt just automatically come up like the lake masters chip does..u have to tell it what to reconize..i hope this might help u out.
