Shotgun Deer Season around Owatonna

Hey guys, i'm looking for some ideas for finding a location to hunt shotgun deer this year. I moved up from Iowa a couple years ago and haven't had any luck. I live in Owatonna and am pretty new to the sport. All the people I know with land either have it spoken for already or don't allow anyone to hunt it. Thanks for any help!

I dont live in this area but I do know that just west of Faribault by Scheels lake and Roberds lake that there are numerous locations that are state owned and open to hunting and do have some deer. I have turkey hunted these spots and have seen a fair amount of deer. Just drive west of Faribault around the lakes and you should see some state land. Rosie's wildlife acres is a state owned piece and its pretty wooded and has turkey and deer.
