Good Bucktail colors for Vermilion

I will look at posting this in the Verm forum....but this is where I KNOW I'll get answer. Have a trip to Verm 21-23 for a Retreat and have a buddy who is making up some custom Hair for me. And just want to know the "goto" colors.

White bucktails and black bucktails are the ticket not to mention mepps

For some reason I had better luck with orange/black mepps in july in vermilion. September caught more on the black/white mepps... dont no what the difference is...maybe just because I caught the big northern on black/white ...ANYWAYS have a good trip and post when you get baCK.(AS LONG AS YOU HAVE MEPPS SOMETHING WILL COME THROUGH)

Let's just say when you have 20mph+ winds it's tough to fish. We threw for skis a bit and nothing. But the others in the boat wanted to jig for Eyes/Smallies so that was what we did. And that didn't produce either. Of the 60 anglers in our group a bunch chased skies. 1 boat hit 2 a 34 and a 30. That was it I think one boat saw a few but that was it.
