brittman Posted September 18, 2006 Share Posted September 18, 2006 I hunt this area occassionally when I do not have time to travel further from home and have averaged one rooster per day (hald day hunt) on Rice Cty public land each of the last two years. Best to wait until crops are harvested or get permission on private land. Better have a solid pheasant dog. Birds will be invisible without a good dog.
