spinners and lindys

im going out on mille lacs tomorrow and want to drift with spinners and lindys the forcast says ten mph winds from nw i have a alumacraft magnum 16.5 with a four stroke 75hp will i be affective just drifting in those winds ( i have no drift sock)

That kind of wind shouldnt affect your drift at all.It depends on your control of your bait and boat while drifting that counts.If you go up there enough though,you should invest in a drift sock.

at 10 mph i doubt you'll have enough wind to go the speed you want....i usualy troll spinners at 1.2mph seems to work the best, but you might like to go faster or sloweer, From my experience with my 15 foot lund I usaly only get .8 mph or so with a 10 mph wind if that....my 2 cents
