McCants - just glad to just see some fresh blood. Sounds like he's got talent so I'm optimistic.

Trenton showed some offense - keeps that going and the rookie'll get treated like a rookie - or he'll cowboy up and play some D - especially if Casey's rep is accurate. Hoping that K.G. and the example of Griffin's (another prior headcase) seeming turnaround will help - and also that he can't look at Candy without thinking "not gonna be me".

Keep Wally unless the deal's a no brainer. Seemed to have more hustle last year to me.

Like hearing that the Wolves are serious about keeping Eddie - not sure he's currently worth the full mid-level that the rumors say we're offering, but I really wanna keep him on the team. Think we should be able to keep him for less though. Would anyone else like to see K.G. sliding to the 5 spot with Eddie in the four more? Hey he played point why not center? Plus Eddie full time would be giving a dbl dbl most nights.

Freddy, love that guy, terrible to hear about his heart. Think he'd be the type who could come back from that - at the same time he also seems smart and not the type to trash his health the rest of his life for the hear and now. Hope he's back, but more that he does what's best for him - class act and way underrated player. One of the guys you gotta root for IMO.

Point guard really needs... something. i.e. Hearing that T-hud is hell bent this offseason and is gonna be back after adding 200 lbs of pure muscle and has vowed to dunk on every guy in the league (twice), but only as the last option with :02 on the clock. otherwise ... trade... pretty please... a trade crazy.gif

Dwayne Jones? Think I'd read he was 5th in rebounds and blocked-shots (may be wrong there). Liked reading "Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year" - don't care what conference it is just like 'defensive player'. Still, pretty weird situation - we'll see.

Know it probably won't happen but I am a little optimistic about a trade happening or picking up someone who gets dropped with that new rule they've got (on the cheap). Actually, who cares about cheap - we're over the cap and it's not my money, so I say get talent. wink.gif

Don't give a rip what anyone says about K.G. not able to lead the way to greatness - IMO he personifies it.

Hope Casey "is" a bit of a h*rd-*$$ and it rubs off (gets pounded into some heads) or in no-uncertain terms says 'X, Y and Z...."gotta go!" '.

GO WOLVES!!!!!!!

Oh ya,

Spree and Sam - keep as role models for the young guys - Cassel can teach em to play D and Spree's there for humility! grin.gifgrin.gifcrazy.gifconfused.gifconfused.gif

Who can look at them the same after last year?

Candy - maybe as a backup making the league minimum

have I mentioned... "trade.... pretty pretty pretty please... trade"

Come on Kevin!

From Fox Sports-

Saint Joseph's center Dwayne Jones is skipping his senior season for a shot at the NBA.

That NBA team is looking like the Timberwolves.

Jones, 6-foot-11, averaged 11.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocks last season. He was not selected in the NBA draft and was eligible to return for his senior season because he had not hired an agent.

One of the ways for Jones to come back was to repay any expenses from his various NBA workouts. Martelli said the school sent forms to nine teams asking for a list of charges and expenses. One team that didn't respond - Minnesota.

So maybe Mchale has something up his sleeve. If not well atleast it is an interesting story.

On paper, Dwayne Jones looks like the type of tough defensive center the Wolves need. However, there has to be a reason every other team passed on him in the draft.

McCants is going to be held out of summer league play with a groin injury. Nice start.

There's a long article in the most recent issue of ESPN the mag about Bracey Wright and how he and Deron Williams are best buds and that Wright was actually the better player for most of their lives. Hopefully, the Wolves get to see some of that talent.

Last weekend on KFAN, Trent Tucker was talking about the possibility of the Wolves trading Wally and Cassell to the Knicks for Marbury. Nate Robinson (the rookie PG the Knicks got from the Suns) has been tearing it up in their summer league. They also have Jamal Crawford to play the 1 or 2 and Quentin Richardson at the 2. It's a crowded back court and Step really hasn't brought the team to the next level. They'll probably cut Houston so adding a spot up shooter like Wally would make sense. I wonder how Step would take a move back to MN?

I dont know, maybe I read an old post. It was on the new sports news section though.

Starbury back in MN? Huh

I thought he left because of the weather lol, maybe since it is summer right now he likes it.

I'd heard Marbury possibly coming here too.

Didn't mention Wright but was curious to see/hear about him. Hasn't gotten much press time around here since he's only a second rounder.

Just read an article on Griffin - didn't kow he's in jail right now down in Texas.

Ummm... Any ideas how "deadly conduct" is a misdemeanor? confused.gif Punching and shooting at a woman? crazy.gif Didn't realize the extent of the "prior headcase". All this is from a few years ago and he's in jail because he violated parole by being at a bar. Apparently not keeping a number of teams from going after him so we're not the only ones who like headcases - keeps the "cost" down smirk.gif Hate to say it but even with all that I still want him back - provided he can stay out of trouble.

wonder just how expensive it is to showcase your skills to nba teams is? personally remember a lot of Ramen in my diet then and a few disappointing fishing and hunting seasons (and gas was cheap then). How thorough do you think college ball is on making sure "3rd parties" aint helping with those bills?

heres an idea wally and t-hud to knicks for steph!!!! this would leave us with a great pg with a crafty vet (sam cassel) pg to back him up and should free up a little money on the stupid hudson contract.

Heck, I'd give them wally, Kandi and Hudson for Step. Hudson is supposedly 100% healthy, but I'll believe that when I see it.

No team in their right mind would take Kandi in a trade. Then again, I think this it the last year on his contract so maybe they would.

I read today that the Knicks are trying to sign Jerome James. That would take care of their big man situation. Now we just need to convince them that Wally can play defense, Kandi isn't a 7' oaf with no athletic ability and Hudson could care less about his rap career.

Wouldn't it be sweet if the Wolves could get Abdur-Rahim to agree to the mid level exception?

I would rather see anyone playing instead of Candy, Spree, Cassell, and Hudson right now.

Maybe if that center they just aquired from college or if they aquire him, put him right at center to start. Hassel is a freak on D. Pickup Steph and Rahim. Fire Mchale, and the rest is money cool.gif

Aight all that wont happen but I think everyone on here agrees Candy, Spree, and Hudson need to find a new team.
