Hummingbirds

I was near Longville this past weekend and saw 3 hummingbirds. Does anyone know why they are up north but not in the cities? Polution?

See one on my boat all the time... wait, that is a humminbird (no - g).

They are in the cities. I've seen two this spring, one in my yard in Edina, and one down by the Minneosta River in Burnsville. I also used to see them at my old place in MPLS. Put out a feeder, they will come in the cities.

We get them pretty thick, both up at Woman Lake, and here in the Cities. When my family had a place on Mille Lacs, there were plenty there too. If you put up feeders, chances are you will get them anywhere in this state - especially in the more wooded areas.

Go to the Bird thread, you'll see alot of pictures that I and others have posted on these birds. FYI... Lakeville is full of them! We must have clean air.

Just saw one yesterday in Chanhassen drinking from our Oriole feeder.

Cool, I thought it was an (Contact US Regarding This Word) thing. I think I saw 2 in my life here in the city. And I didn't even know there was a bird thread.
