Whitewood/ Thompson ice....

Friday at about 2pm I counted 24 vehicles that were out on the ice at Whitewood. I went to Thompson to fish and the ice was 19 inches thick, good ice. I fished the north end and drove out. Fishing was really slow.

I went up tp Drylake just north of Willowlake, SD on Friday. They were hitting eyes up there, never had a bite all day.

My roomate watched a pickup drop its front end through the heave in whitewood yesterday. Just thought I would let you know.

I just can't understand why people even drive close to a heave. Don't know what they are thinking. When I talked to a tow truck driver he said one year he pulled 13 vehicles out of the ice and all but one was because they tried to drive over a heave.
