BigFisherman
David, what year is the motor? Is there a swing tounge on the trailer? Are you located close to Tower?
David Swenson
Bigfisherman,The motor and trailer are 2000. There is no swing tounge on the trailer. The boat is in Cotton, Minnesota (Cotton is half between Virginia and Duluth) on Hwy 53. It is about 50 miles south of Tower. Boat easily fits in my 24' garage and probably would fit in a 22' garage (might have to angle it a bit). It is stored under a garage leanto. Boat has always been stored in winter in a garage or under a leanto. Boat is winterized (engine fogged, oil res. filled, lower unit oil changed, live wells drained, etc.). Will start the motor for buyer before they drive it away. I would also be willing to keep the boat stored until April.David Swensonhttp://muskieguide.homestead.com [This message has been edited by David Swenson (edited 01-03-2004).]
gilby
dave, nice looking outfit, how doe"s that 90 hp push that boat?
David Swenson
Gilby,The 90 hp pushes her about 36-38 mph on a GPS depending on gas and people in the boat. Boat gets on plane quick even with 4 guys and a full tank of gas. The Lund IPS hull is great for getting on plane. Never had a mechanical problem with motor. She has always run great. BigFisherman
Dave,Sorry not gotten back to you, been out of touch for a while. Approx how many hours on the Merc?
David Swenson
Bigfisherman,Sorry it took me a couple days to reply. I was playing in the slush on Crow Lake. I have no way of guessing exactly how many hours it has on it. Most of the hours are from trolling in the fall. The motor was well taken care of. I changed lower unit oil twice a year as with the plugs. The motor was always fogged and had stabil run through every fall before storage. In the spring it was troughly inspected and lubed up. I have never had this motor in the shop for any repair nor have I made a repair on it myself. When I put this motor away in this fall it was running perfect. David Swensonhttp://muskieguide.homestead.com/P.S. Dr. Bob, a check in hand will get rolls and coffee! You should just write your own presciption for a boat. I am sure the wife will understand when she is sitting this beauty of a boat.[This message has been edited by David Swenson (edited 01-18-2004).][This message has been edited by David Swenson (edited 02-21-2004).]
Guest
Dave -Engine hours? I don't know about Merc's and my Merc's are to old. However the newer crop of O/B models, those that support 'computer-diagnostics' will provide you a complete report of your engines condition and exact numbers of running hours.I captain a commercial boat that runs 4-stroke Suzuki's which they trade in about every three seasons (they are great runners). Before they trade we have the 'computer' gig run and provide the reportor reports to the purchaser. I guessed we ran them about 2300 hours - 'puter said 2186 for one engine and about 2010 for the other - time is reported in HH.MM.SEC you also know if engine is in out of spec.I would guess most shops can provide this service unless it's unique to 4-strokes.Bill
David Swenson
Thanks for the info BayouBill-LDF. I will check into it. I think though this motor has no computer to read that I know of. It is just a plain old carberated two-stroke.The 90 hp merc 2 stroke is a tough old tried and true motor. This motor is just about bullet proof. Hoffer
Still for sale?? Why selling?? Looks like a great rig to fish - not sell...
David Swenson
Hoffer,Yes it is still for sale. I had no intent of selling at the end of the season last year. But, I got an offer to become a pro-staff member of Lund Boats which allowed to get a new Pro-V 1800. I could not pass it up so my boat is now for sale. Any other questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks for your inquiry.David Swensonhttp://muskieguide.homestead.com/

David Swenson
Was just at the Duluth Sport Show. It would cost about $18,000.00 or more to get into something like this new with all the bells and whistles after tax and license.
