fish trap tc?

hi i bought the scout tc last year so it looks like they dont make it any more so 2 questions. 1 if i have trouble with the tent can i get a replacement. warranty own stupidity etc. 2 what would be a replacement for it for this year i was thinking of getting 1 more for the wife like the thermal cap but want to stay at 300 buck mark. also a little gun shy i had some clams in the past 1 was great the other fell apart. decided to get the scout tc i like something very light. do any of the new clams have velcro windows some of the others have this so you can replace them it was a tough decision on that but i went with the clam. only to find out they quit making it right away can you still get parts etc thanks

Actually the Scout is still offered just not in the thermal cap model. to get a Scout with a thermal cap you will need to go up to a Scout EXP model. it has the thermal top and big mouth(expanding front of the house, basically a revamped Big Mouth that was only offered at Gander Mountain last year but now will be offer at all retailers this year)

retail will run as follows :

Scout $279.99

Scout EXP $319.99

one other model to check out this year would be the Legend Full Thermal. it is $100 more then you budget but it is a full thermal house and not just a Thermal top. Also with the Legend you would get Clams new light bar with it and a battery bracket for the battery to run the lights(you would need to supply the flasher style battery for it.)

Go on clams HSOforum on parts and go on tents you should be able to find any retired model of fish trap, also I'm sure you could special order it. Also one question have you had any problems with the black spray on the inside of the fish trap, because last year I bought a clam kenai and the black spray is gone on the inside, and its junk and this year I have too options get a new tent, or buy a new ice shack this year I think I will buy a thermal ice shack.
