Help me identify the maker of this spear

I found this spear at a local antique shop here in Buffalo and would like to see if I can find out a likely maker. It is 56 1/2" overall, the tines are forged rectangular tapering to round at the barb, made of spring steel. The rope end is hand shaped steel with a wood plug. The rope was held in place with a wooden cross pin. The existing rope is a replacement. Overall its in pretty good shape with no serious rust or obvious repairs.
