alumacraft3
I have a 2010 ice castle Mille lacs edition. I have a wineguard crank up satellite dish that came with the house. If you are familiar with the older Mille lacs edition layout the satellite dish is on the driver side. I bought a pop up antenna so I can get local stations while I'm out on the lake. My question is where do I install the pop up antenna? I would like to mount it on the side of the house close to where the dish is. If I do this and have my satellite dish cranked up and my antenna up they will be very close to each other. My main concern is will they interfere with each others signals if the dish and the antenna are almost touching each other. I know I can't watch dish and over air channels at the same time but once I get my dish dialed in I don't want to move it because it's a pain in the silly-me. Anyone have any advice on this? Gunslinger
Here is a pic of my 2010 Millelacs. You can see the antenna mounted on the side. Everything works just fine for reception.
alumacraft3
Thanks Gunslinger that's exactly what I want to do. The reason I want to mount it there is so I can drill the hole for the cable directly into the cabinet by the tv. Is that what you did? So with your satellite dish cranked up lke your picture shows can you leave it there and put your pop up antenna up without having to move your dish? woodsmanmn
I just bought the windmere pop up antenna for my house. What stations can you get with it out on Mille Lacs?
Gunslinger
Yes, comes in the same spot as the dish cable. Just put a faceplate with 2 connectors on it and you will be good. I have had them both up at the same time. Also if it is to high you could just turn your house a little and then the dish will point away from the antenna when adjusted.
