deer scent????

What cover up scent works the best for this time of year when the rut is going on exspeacially for next weekend. Thanks and good luck to everyone next weekend

on two occasions I came home from work,

and went straight to the woods

Still had on my steel toed boots and work clothes,

just threw on a beenie cap, and camo jacket over my

work clothes. I sprayed down with scent away.

Had five deer meander through when I did that.

Couple did stop and check out the scrape five yards from my stand.

I added a tinks mock scrape gel to it.

Last night had 3 yearling bucks in there. All to small but none spooked.

The night before had a 2 1/2 yr old about 80 yards out.

I used a snort wheeze to try and bring him in closer but he went away. I'm sure he'd a came in if I just sat still, but I wanted to test him out.

But they are scent checking for hot does in my area.

Don't really need to do anything much except be where they are going to be

my dad is hunting WI right now and trails end #307 is working good, he was covered up with some small bucks that wouldn't leave. I have been using the same scent in my mock scrapes here by town and the scrapes never have leaves in them so I know they are being worked. I will probably switch to estrous scent on Thursday and see what happens Saturday morning.

well just a quick update, my dad went out and tested a buck bomb in a cedar thicket that I placed a ground blind in back in the spring. He just reached out of the blind and sprayed a half a can @ 1530, @ 1545 his biggest buck to date walked within 19 yards. great shot and forty yards later, the rest is history

I spray some doe in heat pee on my boots before i walk out seems to work well

Deer Dander by Fitzgerald on boots and on a drag on the way to the stand combined with some tinks and some special golden estrus on some sent wicks set out in a large half circle out about 40 yds from stand is what I go with.
