Are there birds around Jamestown ND?

I have a hunting trip planned for this weekend/ all next week for around the Jamestown area. Wondering if there are birds around the area? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Three weeks ago there were a few around and the farther North you went the more you saw. I would be willing to bet that you will find plenty of birds in the area. If you can travel I would travel North on 52 towards Devils Lake the numbers in that area are Great.

My son and I just got back from south of Jamestown. We had to scout a bit. First two days things had dropped off, but by the weekend there were large numbers of mallards working the fields. We had flocks of 20-100 working our field dekes every 10-15 minutes both in the morning and late afternoon. There were divers widely scattered everywhere, just had to pick a slough/pond they liked. Only a few dark geese around, snows were migrating through heavily.

Man, you guys must be see different birds than me! I hunted hard for roosters all weekend with a keen eye out for waterfowl. Saw plenty of geese, but ducks were few and far between.

You may be a little late. Sounds like a good chance of a snow storm this weekend followed by cold temps. Saturday/Sunday may be good but the forecast is for highs in the 20s and lows in the low teens starting Saturday. Gonna freeze quick. Better keep an eye of the forecast.
