lowrance i finder pro

Question

I recently picked up an ifinder pro with the intent to use it for hunting, but when attempting to use it, it slipped from my buttery fingers and landed on my bare foot. Yes my foot, and low and behold the screen is now black. I called lowrance and they said, send it in and we'll bench test it for $65 plus shiping. Then we will tell you if it's fixable or not. If not we can upgrade you to a ewer gps for $349. Ah yeah no. Is it me, or are lowrance quaility not there any more. I've got flashers old as me that still work, but a newer gps that can't handle a soft drop onto a foot. If anybody has a suggestion I open for it.

Thanks

I have two IFinder Pro's that are about 6 years old. Both went kaput with no apparent reason such as being dropped. They quit supporting them at least 2 years ago. IMO move on to something new. I bought a Garmin 78s and it is incredible.
