I was out fishing in California last year and notice that in one of the lakes we were fishing in had a ton of man made structures. Those structures turned out to be cinder blocks and Christmas trees. So my question is " is it legal to make your own structures in a lake as long as it's not affecting or polluting the water."

You can get permits for it from the DNR, but if you do it without permission it is illegal

Yup, it's illegal. But like everything else, that doesn't mean folks don't do it.

It's just a thought but definitely a good way to make " the honey hole" easier to find.

If say you own property on a lake, you may be able to get the lake association and DNR together to start a fish crib program. We get a permit for about a half dozen new cribs every year.
