Long distance bear

Our deer area is about 4-5 hours away. We've seen bear tracks and now have one on camera. I'd like to try for a tag next year but am wondering if anyone has any success hunting long distance. We would only be able to make it up there about every 2-3 weeks.

Any thoughts?

web guy----- It is about 6 hours to where i hunt and I have all kinds of success. If you want to hunt bear thats the price you have to pay or try to find a local guy with nothing to do to help out as long as you help supplybait and pay the gas. Very close One of my spots is within a couple miles as the crow flys. But probably 10-15 miles by truck.
