Dumb question.

I could care less about numbers. But i have an anual trip in August where i spend three weeks in northern WI to Northern MN. I start in Solon Springs WI then Dultuh MN, and end in the Grand Rapids area.

Is there a way to find if lakes are still being stocked. I have heard lots or rumors from regulars that one of my normal trout lakes is getting axed next year due to lack of activity. Is there a way to find if other lakes are still active? Do not want to waste my one fishing trip on lakes that are full of carp or bullhead and no trout. The DNR site only lists 2009 stocking. Or do i just to pick up the phone with the few in question.

Thank You

wisconsin dnr does put out number of trout it puts in lakes but thats it...mn dnr has the "lake finder" which has all the info you need. Also, on the dnr HSOforum, go to fishing>trout>management plans...i think, you will see the lakes and streams they are cutting or reducing stocking in
