First One!

Got outta school early the other day, so I headed down to Medicine Lake. After about an hour of waiting I noticed that a pike around 24-25" had slid in. As I was reaching for the spear the fish turned and shot off suddenly. I was kinda disappointed that I hadn't noticed it fast enough, but I just kept waiting. About half an hour later another one, little bit smaller cruised in to look at the decoy. I kept jigging it because it seemed pretty interested and kinda followed it around. I switched hands for the jigging pole and grabbed my spear. One more circle, and the pike started in for my decoy, mouth opened real wide like it was gonna strike and I threw my spear. The water cleared and I threw my fish outside. Not the biggest fish, but it'll do for a first. 20 inches brought in to a 6 inch firetiger decoy over 13 fow.
