jig-em
Question for forum fisherman...When using a jigging spoon, do the majority of you use a swivel/clip to prevent line twist? My preference is to use one so that switching rigs is done quicker. What do others do?
cmpeterson1
I use a small swivel 24"-36" above my lure.At the lure connection I either tie derect or use a Mustad snap hook.swivel and snap at the lure not good. Also I found that its better to put on a bobber stop above the swivel just in case you want to change the setup to bobber.[This message has been edited by cmpeterson1 (edited 12-22-2002).]
Guest
I tie em' on straight and let them "unwind" before I drop it back down the hole...But a swivel is a good idea.PCG
Wables
I use fireline for my main line, then a barrel swivel, then 2 feet of Segaur Flourocarbon, then tie directly to my lure. I put on a new leader when I hit about a foot. I also always put a bobber stop on my main line.------------------Wables
Guest
What size swivel and does it need to be ball bearing?
CNY Tim
Quick clip is all I use for spoons. I use a swivel on my jigging rap rods. 1-4pd. test fireline to a ball bearing swivel a 3' section of Seguar 4lb. test flouro and a number 2 or 3 rap.Perfect your waggle.... Guest
I use a split ring for the ones that dont have one.I dont like to much clutter close to the bait. cmpeterson1 idea sounds good along with a split ring on the lure.
