all right ! i did go out the first evening, on a ground stand. is it considered "being a danger to one self" if the skeekers are so bad , you can barely see thru your face netting??? and yes they did find a few places to sneak in !i only lasted a half hour! ok! so ain't the man i thought i was! cooler times ahead!

i still haven't filled any tags!( thanks to me jerking a shot, and missing a nice doe ) my daughter made up for it sat. evening!! she came home from college to black powder hunt this weekend. since this is her only weekend to hunt, she wasn't going to be to fussy! she shot two nice does sat. night with in about 4 min.! she had one cleaned when i go there, and i helped her do the other one.we spent yesturday ( sunday) processing them. del

Just finishing the job of cleaning up here after last week's carnage. My partner filled an archery doe tag and I filled two with the muzzleloader on Saturday, so the landowners are happy and the freezer is full. Now it's time to grab the bow and go looking for Mr. Big.

I am hoping to get out and hunt a couple times in the upcoming days. It will be my first time bowhunting in Iowa. Being a student at U of I, I was able to get a resident license, I'm getting pretty excited to say the least
