decent cats

Anybody know where you can find some decent cats fishing from shore? I'm looking for cats in the the range of 10+ pounds with some consistency. Thanks

You and me both!

My shore fishing ranges from Bloomington area to MPLS to Lillydale in St. Paul. I give a spot about 45 min. to an hour and a half. If no fish on shore, we move to another spot. We have been trying this now for a little over 2 months and we have got 2 flats (small). This is better than staying at a spot all night and not getting nothing. Find legal access to river and mark what you find. Count the time it takes for weight to hit bottom and you can find the holes and also the snags.

one place that I've had success at is Harriet island off the pier. I've caught Channels up to about 25 pounds, but am looking for other spots as well.

heck if I were catching consistant 10lbers I wouldn't be moving either...nor would I be sharing the spot.

It's a great spot, I will admit that. I just won't say what I'm catching them on.
