getting stripped???

just wondering if anyone ever has there rod get hit quick for a second with there drag on very light only to find that what ever hit it for that split second (with no run after) took your creekchub/bullhead...am I using too much weight or what is the problem because this happened 3 times last night and it is frustrating. thanks

Thats the nature of bait fishing. Having your bait stripped isn't uncommon at all.

Yep. Frustrating, but it's all part of the game.

If you're getting lots of bites, but no fish, try downsizing your hook and bait. Sometimes it can be productive.

Sometimes, though, it's turtles. And that's not much fun.
