Hiddenbay
Hello AllHas anyone out there had a lot of luck fishing in clear Canadian lakes using a Carolina Rig. I would like to try it for large post spawn Small Mouth Bass. I was thinking about using a brown tube. Any suggestions out there. I was also thinking about using a Sluggo (light gray color). Thanks
bushdoe
Various colors of tubes work well later in the season.I found a beetle spin to work well minus the grub. Replacing the grub with a small sluggo or type. Mimic the baitfish in that particular lake. The less hardware the better in clear water.
BAIT956
I have had a lot of success using a wacky worm rig. If your fishing rocks, the wacky is a lot easier to pull through. I have also used the wacky under a slip bobber to hold it just above the rocks.
Hiddenbay
Is the wacky worm similar to the Little Mac?
BAIT956
Sorry, I am not familiar with a Little Mac. Basically, the wacky worm is a senko or simailar stick type plastic worm hooked near the middle with a single hook, weightless, then casted out and retrieved very, very slowly. It is very effective when bass are in a neutral feeding mood and not chasing.
